Four things to stay ON TRACK |
|
|
|
When you prayed, repented of your sins and received
Jesus Christ as your Savior it was the most important decision you have
ever made, one you will never regret.
A wonderful change has taken place in your life, a change so
profound it is as though you have “crossed over from death to life”! |
|
From
death to life! |
|
Jesus said, “I
tell you the truth, whoever hears My words and believes Him who sent Me
has eternal life and will not be condemned:
he has crossed over from death to life.”1
The Bible
says, “And you He made alive, who were dead in trespasses and
sins...But God, who is rich in mercy, because of His great love with which
He loved us, even when we were dead in trespasses, made us alive together
with Christ”2 Again
the Bible says, “Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those
who are in Christ Jesus, Because through Christ Jesus the law of the
Spirit of life set men free from the law of sin and death3...Therefore,
if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has gone, the new
has come.”4 |
|
Staying ON TRACK |
| The Bible tells us to “grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ”.5 There are four basic things you must begin to do if you want to grow into a strong healthy follower of Jesus Christ. |
|
|
|
TRACK Number 1 - Read the Bible |
|
|
| The Bible says, "as new born babes, desire the sincere milk of the word, that you may grow thereby."6 Just as a newborn baby needs milk for nourishment to grow into a strong healthy child so must we desire the "pure milk of the word" that we may nourished and grow into a strong healthy child of God. Read, meditate on (think about) and memorize on Gods word each day. |
|
“All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work.” 2 Timothy3:16,17 |

Number 2 - Pray each day |
|
|
| Prayer is simply talking to God. Begin to
form the habit of talking to God each morning and throughout the day.
Read, meditate on and memorize the following portions of scripture. |
|
“Now this is the confidence
that we have in Him, that if we ask anything according to His will, He
hears us. And if we know that
He hears us, whatever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we
have asked of Him.” I
John 5:14,15 “Ask, and it will be given
you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you.” Matthew 7:7
“Now to Him who is able to do
exceedingly abundantly above all that
we ask or think, according to the power that works in us”.
Ephesians 3:20

|
|
Track Number 3 - Find a Church |
|
|
| It is very important that you find a Church home as soon as possible. Ask the Lord to direct you to a good Bible teaching, Christ-centered church in your area. |
|
“And let us consider one another in order to stir up love a good works, not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as is the manner of some, but exhorting one another, and so much the more as you see the Day approaching”. Hebrews 10:24,25 |
|
|
|
Track Number 4 - Witness |
|
|
| Witness means “first-hand experience.” Telling others what God has done for you personally (forgiven you of your sins and setting you free from the bondage of sin and death, giving you eternal life) is one of the most powerful tools you have in leading others to Jesus Christ. |
|
“But you shall receive power
when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be witnesses to me
in Jerusalem, and in all “Therefore we are ambassadors
for Christ, as though God were pleading through us: we implore you on
Christ’s behalf, be reconciled to God.” “For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ, for it is the power of God to salvation for everyone who believes.” Romans 1:16 Jesus said, “Go into all the
world (your world begins at your door step, right where you live and
work) and preach the gospel to every creature.
He who believes and is baptized will be saved; but he who does not
believe will be condemned....All authority has been given to Me
(Jesus) in heaven and on earth. Go
therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of
the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe
all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always,
even to the end of the age.” “I am now sending you to them to open their eyes and to turn them from darkness to light from the power of Satan to God so that they may receive forgiveness of their sins and a place among those who are now sanctified by faith in Me.” Acts 26:17,18 |
|
Again, one the most powerful witnessing tools in bringing others to Jesus Christ is your personal testimony. It would be very beneficial if you wrote it out on paper. There are three main parts. First, write what your life was like before you received Jesus Christ as your Savior and Lord. Secondly, describe how it happened. Thirdly, tell what
it means to you now that you have received the free gift of
eternal life through Christ and how it has changed your life.
Our prayer for you is for
you to continue to "Stay on Track" and to grow in the love,
grace and knowledge of Jesus Christ. |
