Luther S. Harkey 1885 - 1949
Luther S. Harkey was a railroad engineer with the Atlantic Coast Line Railroad from Sanford, Florida. Soon after he converted to Christ in 1926, the fire of the life-changing gospel message burned in his heart with the desire to share the Good News of Jesus Christ with his fellow railroad employees. This he did fervently and faithfully. His personal witness eventually took him to many different railroad shops around the country as he could ride the trains free. Luther stayed in local YMCA’s where he would share the love of Christ with the local railroad men.
